A free Communications API for developers

Sonetel has traditionally targeted small businesses without any technical expertise.

The newly released API now also allows developers worldwide to easily integrate Sonetel’s global communication services with its own applications – for free.

“We have been developing a powerful and comprehensive API since a long time, but primarily used it internally, as a basis for our own applications,” says Henrik Thomé. “We are now making it available to developers globally for free.”

With the help of the Sonetel API you can now integrate Sonetel’s wide range of communication services with, for example, your sales support systems, business systems and customer support systems – and create various forms of automation.

The API is based on established standards such as REST, JSON and OAuth2, and can be used with any programming language.

At our new site for developers you can find ready-made code in most popular languages, to simplify your integration process.

Scalable and reliable

Our API has been in operation since many years – as an interface between our SaaS platform and our own apps and customer interfaces. This ensures a high level of scalability and reliability.

Thanks to this, developers can quickly and easily create the desired functionality – and get a reliable solution – without having to spend considerable time themselves dealing with issues such as scalability and reliability in their code.

In the first public roll out of the Sonetel API, we have included functions that allow you to do things like this;

• Select numbers to be displayed during outgoing calls
• Search for and download call recordings
• Create and change voicemail functionality
