GDPR
We have implemented changes to ensure that Sonetel is compliant with the new EU privacy regulation GDPR – and that any personal data you entrust us with is safe.
No actions needed
There is nothing you need to do as a customer to benefit from these changes. By continuing to use the service you implicitly accept the changed Terms & Conditions.
Here are the main changes that you should be aware of.
- Sonetel AB is the Data Controller for some of your personal data.
This includes information that we need for identifying and validating the identity of the representative (you) of our customer (your company). It also includes other data needed for billing (usage charges for calls etc.) and book keeping and for the handling of other legal requirements (fraud prevention). This is described further in our updated Privacy Policy. There you also find information about our Data retention policy – i.e. how long we keep personal data. - You are the Data Controller for all other data.
This includes data about your users (employees) and the customers and others that you communicate with via our service. For this data we act as the Data Processor, working on your behalf. A Data Processing Agreement is made part of the Master Agreement (the terms & conditions) for this purpose.
