How to activate call recording account wide

You can activate call recording for all incoming and outgoing calls across all Users and Sonetel phone numbers in your account – or optionally enable recording for selected users and phone number.

Follow these steps to configure the call recording settings for your entire Sonetel account:

  1. Sign in at sonetel.com
  2. Scroll down to the Call Recording section.
  3. Click on Configure. A dialogue box as shown below will appear:

This is where you can configure the Call recording settings account wide. Select an option of choice from the drop down menu.

  • Call recording.
    The following configuration options are available.

    • Disabled
      Call recording is turned off.
    • Allowed
      Allows you to selectively activate call recording per User and/or Sonetel phone number.
    • Record all calls
      Records all incoming calls to all your Sonetel numbers and all calls you or any other User in your account makes.
    • Record all inbound calls
      Records all incoming calls to all your Sonetel numbers.
    • Record all outbound calls
      Records all calls that any User in your Sonetel account makes.
  • Total recordings
    Shows the total size in GB of all you call recordings.  Free storage is limited

Set Call recording to ”Allowed” if you want to be able to configure call recording per Sonetel phone number and User.

These settings are only available to the person that created the Sonetel account and other Admin users in your Sonetel account. Other Users can only configure their personal Call recording settings.
Call Recording is free, but it can only be activated after you have added some money to your Sonetel prepaid account.
Only use Call recording if you can do so without breaking any laws and without violating Sonetel’s terms and conditions.
The call recording function may be automatically disabled by the Sonetel system in case the call involves a country or region where call recording is strictly prohibited.
