Russia suspended
In response to Russia’s unprovoked war against Ukraine, we stopped offering services in Russia and to Russians earlier this year.
In this post, we summarize the changes we have made.
Changes done during March and April 2022
The following changes were implemented during March and April 2022.
- No phone numbers
We are no longer offering phone numbers in Russia and Belarus. Existing subscriptions have been terminated. - No calls
It is no longer possible to connect calls to Russian mobiles and landlines. - No new accounts
We do not allow customers to sign up for new accounts from Russia or Belarus. If we find out that new customers have used VPN to appear as signing up from another country, we will suspend the account.
Changes done in August 2022
We have later (in August) discovered that our blocking of calls to Russia did not block 100% of the calls, and that a small amount of calls still were connected through.
This issue has been rectified early August, to ensure that no calls can be connected to Russia whatsoever.
When will services be resumed?
Services will not be offered in Russia in the foreseeable future.
Once Russia has ceased its aggressions against Ukraine and have withdrawn its troops from Ukraine territory and reached a peace agreement with Ukraine – and fundamentally changed the leadership in Russia – we may consider offering services in Russia again.
