January 22nd – Issue with auto renewal services

6:30 AM UTC. We’re currently experiencing issues with the auto renewal services. Our development team is currently investigating the issue and working on finding a resolution at the earliest.

3.00 PM UTC. We have taken actions to restore the service back to normal. The auto renewal services should now be working.

It was identified that there was an unexpected issue with one of our servers that caused this issue. Our team has identified the root cause and fixed it to avoid any future instances.

January 1st – SMS and Voicemail unavailable

6.30 PM UTC. We are investigating an issue with SMS and Voicemail delivery. This issue only affects the SMS delivery with our new provider – there should be no issues with incoming SMS on numbers purchased before December 2018.

January 2nd 3.40 AM UTC. The issue has now been resolved and the SMS and Voicemail services are now working as expected. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.


November 27th – Call Back service unavailable

6:15 AM UTC. Due to a technical issue, the Call back service is currently not working. However, this does not affect our other services for making calls as you will still be able to make calls using the Internet or Call thru methods.

The issue is being investigated with high priority. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

November 30th 7:27 AM UTC.  All our services are now back online.

We encountered a temporary disruption due to a system issue, affecting the connection for processing certain calls using our Call back service. The problem was identified and is now resolved, and we’re actively working to enhance our systems to prevent such occurrences in the future.

October 27th – Intermittent issue with sign up and phone number purchase

8:00 AM UTC. We’re aware of a signup issue currently affecting new user registrations. This problem has been intermittent. Our development team is actively investigating the root cause and working on a solution as a top priority.

1:00 PM UTC. We have also identified an issue with purchasing phone numbers, both for existing and new accounts. The problem has been intermittent. Our development team is working diligently to pinpoint the cause and resolve it promptly.

October 28 4:47 AM UTC. Both the issues have now been resolved. New user registration and phone number purchase should work without any issue. The root cause was found to be an issue with the Oracle database used.

October 7th – Voicemail Summary service unavailable

12:30 AM UTC. Due to a technical issue, the Voicemail summary service is currently not working. However, this does not affect the Voicemail service as you will still receive the voicemails left as an audio file attached to the email.

It was identified that there was something missing with the query that identifies and delivers the Voicemail summary. Our team has now applied the critical fixes to improve the system’s responsiveness and accuracy – ensuring there are no issues caused by this in the future.

August 24th – Sonetel Apps unavailable

4:30 PM UTC. Due to an issue with one of our internal systems, it is currently not possible to sign in to existing accounts and we are also observing issues with sign up for new accounts using our apps.

However, this does not affect our telephony services – incoming and outgoing calls should continue to work as expected.

The issue is being investigated with high priority. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

June 19th – Issues with telephony

3:40 AM UTC. We’re currently experiencing issues with incoming and outgoing calls. We see an increase in failed calls.

We are currently investigating the issue and our development team is working on finding a resolution at the earliest.
