In some cases, yes the number may have been assigned to someone in the past. However, our local partners take care to ensure that phone numbers are sanitized properly before making them available for ordering.

What precautions do you take to ensure I don’t get calls from the previous owner of the phone number?

Here are the steps taken to ensure you don’t receive unwanted calls:

• As soon as a number is cancelled it is placed in quarantine for 34 days.
• During quarantine, if it continues to receive calls then the quarantine is automatically extended till the time there are no more calls made to it.
• After the phone number is made available for purchase, it is still checked for any incoming calls. If incoming calls are detected, then the number is placed in quarantine once again.
