Chat becomes a Premium Feature
Customer chat and Team chat will no longer be available in the Free plan after April 21st 2024. This also applies to the Sonetel chat widget for company websites.
Premium or Business plan will be required for continued use.
Companies that continue using the Chat Widget after this date will be upgraded to Premium to ensure uninterrupted services. Customers that remove the Chat widget code from their website no later than April 21st will not be upgraded.
Customers that have a free phone number provided with the chat widget can continue using that phone number at no extra cost – as long as they have Premium or Business Plan.
If they instead chose to remove the chat widget code from their website, the phone number will instead be converted to a regular paid number.
The suggested answers provided by AI to customer service agents handling incoming customer questions are part of what becomes a paid service.
The Team inbox for new customer conversations as well as the Team chat function will become hidden by default in the Sonetel apps after April 21st,.
