How to connect Acrobits SIP phone to Sonetel

Acrobits is a popular 3rd party SIP phone that can be connected to Sonetel for making and receiving calls. It works with iPhone and Android.

Here are the instructions for how to connect a Acrobits softphone to Sonetel.

1. Add new provider
   Select Settings -> SIP Accounts -> Add new provider
2. Select Sonetel
   Select Sonetel from the list
3. Parameters to enter:
   1. Username
      The first part of your email address. For example, if your address is john.smith@mycompany.com, enter john.smith here
   2. Password
      Your Sonetel password
   3. Domain
      The second part of your email address. For example, if your address is john.smith@mycompany.com, enter mycompany.com here
4. Keep iPhone awake
   Go to Settings -> Preferences and change Keep iPhone awake to Always if you want to be able to accept incoming SIP calls even when Acrobits is not opened.

• Improve quality
  You can improve quality by going to Settings -> SIP accounts -> Sonetel -> Advanced settings in sections Codecs for WiFi and Codecs for 3G drag GSM down to the disabled codecs list.

Trouble shooting

To send logs from the Acrobits phone to Sonetel, follow these instructions:

• Click on Settings -> Preferences -> and activate Log SIP traffic
• Use the app so that the problem is recreated
• Click on Settings -> ¨Troubleshooting -> SIP log
• Copy all
• Paste into an email and send to support@sonetel.com
