How to connect Bria Solo to Sonetel
Bria solo is a popular 3rd party SIP phone that can be connected to Sonetel for making and receiving calls. It works with Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android.

Here are the instructions for how to connect a Bria Solo softphone to Sonetel.
- Create new account
Under Accounts select “+” and “SIP – Making Calls” to create a new account. - Account name
Sonetel - User details
- Display as
EMPTY - Username
The first part of your email address. For example, if your address is john.smith@mycompany.com, enter john.smith here - Password
Your Sonetel password - Domain
The second part of your email address. For example, if your address is john.smith@mycompany.com, enter mycompany.com here.
- Display as
- Account advanced
Proceed to Account advanced - Account additional
- Out. Proxy
sip.sonetel.com - Auth Name
Same as Username above - Go back
To go back, click on New account
- Out. Proxy
- Enabled
ON - Save and register
Save and then click on Register. When it turns green, click on “phone” icon at bottom.
Troubleshooting
- Call on 3G
To allow calls across 3G – go to Settings -> Preferences and set Allow 3G calls to ON - To avoid bad audio quality
Go to Settings -> Advanced settings -> Audio codecs selection and turn GSM to OFF for both Cell audio Codecs and Wifi Audio codecs. - No audio
If you cannot hear the person you are calling do this:- Go to Settings -> Advanced settings -> Network Traversal Strategy -> Current strategy
- Change to User specified
- Activate ICE
