January 21st – Intermittent API slowness due to issue with DNS resolution

7:15 AM UTC. It is currently not possible to select phone numbers during purchase or sign-up due to an issue with our phone number provider. We are in touch their technical support and hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.

There is no impact to incoming & outgoing calls or SMS.

8:22 AM UTC. Our phone number provider has informed us of an ongoing issue with their API and have provided a workaround to resolve the issue. We are updating our systems.

9:15 AM UTC. The issue appears to happen intermittently at the moment. We are still following up with our service provider.

10:30 AM UTC. We still see intermittent issues with the phone number selection at our website and web app. This is being investigated.

10:46 AM UTC. The issue has now been resolved – however, there may still be some intermittent slowness. The root cause of the issue was identified as slow DNS resolution. We are following up with AWS to address the root cause.
