How to connect 3CX to Sonetel

3CX is a provider of a free popular 3rd party SIP phone that can be connected to Sonetel for making and receiving calls. It works with Windows.

1. Start Download, install and start 3CX softphone.
2. Create profile Click on Create profile.
3. New Click on new.
4. Account settings Fill in these details on the Account settings page
   1. Account name Sonetel
   2. Caller ID Enter either your name or a number
   3. Extension Enter the first part of the user’s email address. For example; if email address is john.smith@mycompany.com enter john.smith
   4. ID Enter the first part of the user’s email address
   5. Password Enter the user’s Sonetel password
   6. I am out of office – external IP. Enter the domain in the user’s email address. For example, if email address is john.smith@mycompany.com enter mycompany.com
   7. Outbound proxy server Activate ‘Use Outbound Proxy Server’ and enter sip.sonetel.com
